Cinnamon Roll Syrup

Servings: 24 (2 T per serving)

Ingredients:

1 3/4 c water
1 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
5 t butter extract
3-4 t stevia extract 
5 t cinnamon
1 t xanthan gum (or 1 t flax meal mixed with 2 t hot water)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the water, applesauce and extracts
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cinnamon and xanthan gum (or flax/water mixture)
  3. Slowly add this into the wet ingredients while whisking
  4. Once incorporated, whisk the entire mixture vigorously
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight
  6. Pour mixture into blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes
  7. Pour syrup into bottle/jar, tightly seal and refrigerate to store
