Ingredients

8 oz Vidalia onion
1 c sugar-free beef broth (or water)
1 t garlic powder
1 t onion salt
1/8 t pepper
water

Directions
  1. Slice onion with an apple slicer to make wedges and open up the onion
  2. Season onion with garlic powder, onion salt, and pepper
  3. Place onion on top of a foil sheet
  4. Add 1/4 c beef broth
  5. Wrap foil tightly around onion
  6. Place in baking dish and bake at 350 for 1 hour
  7. Remove from oven, unwrap onion and place in bowl
  8. Pour remaining beef broth (and water, if needed) over onion and serve
