Cherry season is finally here and it’s time to celebrate with a low-carb cherry crisp. This recipe takes the classic dessert and uses almond flour in place of processed carbs. The result is healthy, delicious, and satisfying enough to satisfy your cravings without breaking your diet!

Ingredients:

3 c cherries, pitted and sliced
2 tsp almond extract
1/3 c unsweetened almond milk
1/4 c hemp hearts
1/4 c almond flour
1/4 c coconut flour
2 T coconut oil
1 T water
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch of pink salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease large baking dish.
  3. In medium bowl, combine cherries, almond extract, and milk.
  4. In another bowl combine all other ingredients and mix well until crumbly.
  5. Pour cherry mixture into baking dish.
  6. Top with crumble mixture.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
